Tried to create a contiguous living system in Processing. First proper try at object oriented programming. The response to stimuli is from the FFT input and spectrum. A 4min++ song produced this pattern. Kinda looks porcelain.

Chasm Collective invited SUSEJ to participate in Project:KLUNG!
“Project:KLUNG! was born out of a desire to susatain a beloved tradition, the Angklung, a musical instrument from the 7th century. The challenge here is to innovate tradition through the spheres of design, music and technology.” - Chasm
SUSEJ members led by myself and Darrick Ma went on to collaborate with Media Lab to realize LineArray.
LineArray is an octave of resonating traditional Javanese instruments named Angklungs. It discovers the alternative approach of producing sounds from the Angklungs through arrays of electro pulses. These pulses are generated from algorithms that initiates by a line of movement over the Angklungs.

In the recent Seed Fest Singapore, 2011, atct by Ffrrdd Ttllbb (sound) collaborated with SOJAMO and SUSEJ  for ‘Continuum’. Continuum is a series of audio visual experiments performed in real time. It plays with the possibilities of ever changing visuals affected by a flow of circulating signals rendered within the algorithmic spectrum of a computer system.
Here are some snapshots.
